Historical Quotes Downloader and Stock Quotes Pro
Using Historical Quotes in SuperCharts
SuperCharts reads ASCII data files directly. Download the quotes with Historical Quotes Downloader or Stock Quotes Pro in the date format SuperCharts expects, then add the data folder as an ASCII data path.
1. Set the output format
Historical Quotes Downloader
In Settings, set:

Stock Quotes Pro
Choose Tools > Settings, select SuperCharts under Select Custom Format and click Apply. This sets the date format to YYYY/MM/DD, puts the oldest day first and adds the header "Date","O","H","L","C","V". Click OK.
Then download the symbols you need.
2. Open the data in SuperCharts
- In SuperCharts, open the dialog for a new symbol.
- Add a new ASCII directory to the data paths, pointing to the data folder of Historical Quotes Downloader or Stock Quotes Pro.
- Choose one of the files in that folder, for example
DELL.txt. The extension depends on your settings. - The Field order dialog appears. Select Date-Open-High-Low-Close-Volume and click OK. The chart opens.
The same files work in TradeStation 4, which uses the SuperCharts format. For TradeStation 2000i, select TradeStation 2000i under Select Custom Format in Stock Quotes Pro instead (date MM/DD/YYYY).
