Using Historical Quotes Downloader Data in Advanced Get

Advanced Get reads the text files downloaded by Historical Quotes Downloader directly. Set the file format on the Download Settings tab, then add the data folder as an ASCII data path in Advanced Get.

1. Set up Historical Quotes Downloader

On the Download Settings tab, set:

Date FormatYYMMDD
Date SeparatorNone

Then download the symbols you need.

2. Add the data path in Advanced Get

  1. Start Advanced Get and choose File > Data Paths.
  2. Add an ASCII data path and open its Properties.
  3. Set Path to the Historical Quotes Downloader data folder (by default Documents\Historical Quotes Downloader\Data) and check that the extension is txt.
  4. Set the date format to YYMMDD.
