Dow Jones Transportation Average Components
The Dow Jones Transportation Average tracks 20 U.S. transportation companies – airlines, railroads, trucking, shipping and delivery services. It grew out of the first average Charles Dow published in 1884, and followers of Dow Theory watch it alongside the Industrial Average to confirm market trends.
