Southern States Bancshares was the holding company for Southern States Bank, a community bank serving individuals and businesses in the U.S. On the deposit side, it offered demand and interest-bearing accounts, savings accounts and certificates of deposit.
Its lending covered real estate construction and development, home mortgages and commercial property mortgages, along with commercial and industrial loans. It also made consumer installment loans and offered overdraft and other revolving credit. Customers could bank online, by mobile app and through ATMs.
