Sandy Spring Bancorp was the holding company for Sandy Spring Bank, which offered commercial and retail banking, mortgages, private banking and trust services in the U.S. Its loans covered commercial real estate, construction, business, residential and consumer needs, including home equity loans and lines and personal credit lines.
The company also provided investment management, financial planning and wealth management, kept records of securities portfolios, and served as trustee for personal and corporate trusts. It was founded in 1868 and based in Olney, Maryland.
Sandy Spring merged with Atlantic Union (AUB) on April 1, 2025, with each share converted into 0.900 Atlantic Union shares. The final trade was on March 31, 2025 at $27.95.
