About SolarWinds Corp
SolarWinds sold IT management software in the U.S. and abroad. Its network management tools showed real-time network use and bandwidth and helped find and fix performance problems. Its infrastructure tools tracked the performance of applications, servers, virtual and cloud systems, storage and databases.
Other products covered network configuration, log and event management, security event management, access rights, identity monitoring, server patching, and secure file transfer. It also offered application performance monitoring, ITIL-compliant service desk software, and database performance tools for Microsoft and other platforms, whether self-hosted, cloud or hybrid.
Buyers included network and systems engineers, database and storage admins, DevOps, SecOps and service desk staff. Formerly SolarWinds Parent, Inc., it became SolarWinds Corporation in May 2018. It was founded in 1999 and based in Austin, Texas.
Turn/River Capital took SolarWinds private on April 15, 2025 for $18.50 in cash per share. The last trade was on April 14, 2025 at $18.49.
