About Matterport Inc
Matterport was a spatial data company that turned physical spaces into digital data, in the U.S. and abroad. Its offerings included Matterport Capture Services, a managed option for enterprise subscribers, the Pro3 and Pro2 3D cameras, the LEICA BLK360 for creating digital twins, smartphone capture for iOS and Android, and support for 360 cameras. It also sold Matterport Axis, a motorized smartphone mount.
Customers were in residential and commercial real estate, facilities and retail, architecture, engineering and construction, insurance and repair, and travel and hospitality. The company was based in Sunnyvale, California.
CoStar (CSGP) acquired Matterport on February 27, 2025, paying $2.75 in cash plus $2.75 in CoStar stock per share, and it became a CoStar subsidiary as of February 28, 2025. The final trade was on February 27, 2025 at $5.38.
