About Guaranty Bancshares, Inc.
Guaranty Bancshares, Inc. was a Texas bank holding company for Guaranty Bank & Trust, N.A. The bank traces its roots to 1913, and the company was headquartered in Mount Pleasant, Texas, in the northeastern part of the state. It served small and medium-sized businesses, professionals, and individuals.
The bank offered checking, savings, money market, and business accounts, certificates of deposit, and loans including commercial and industrial, construction and development, residential, commercial real estate, farmland and agricultural, multifamily, and consumer loans. It also provided trust, custodial, escrow, investment management, retirement plan, and treasury management services, along with online and mobile banking.
As of June 30, 2025, Guaranty reported about $3.1 billion in total assets, $2.1 billion in loans, and $2.7 billion in deposits. It operated 33 banking locations across 26 Texas communities. Its footprint covered East Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Bryan and College Station, and Austin.
The company completed its initial public offering in 2017 and its common stock traded under the symbol GNTY, later listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Growth came from both organic lending and acquisitions of smaller banks across Texas. It paid regular dividends to shareholders.
In 2025, Glacier Bancorp, a bank holding company based in Kalispell, Montana, agreed to acquire Guaranty Bancshares in a transaction paid in a combination of Glacier stock and cash. The acquisition added a Texas franchise to Glacier's multi-bank holding company structure spread across western and mountain states. Guaranty's shareholders and the relevant regulators approved the transaction.
Glacier completed the acquisition on October 1, 2025. Guaranty's common stock ceased trading on the New York Stock Exchange, and a Form 25 delisting notice was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that day. Following the merger, Guaranty Bank & Trust operates as a division of Glacier Bank under the name Guaranty Bank & Trust, Division of Glacier Bank.
