About ANSYS Inc
ANSYS, Inc. built and sold engineering simulation software and services for engineers, designers, researchers and students. Its structural suite included Ansys Mechanical, the LS-DYNA multiphysics solver, and power analysis and optimization tools.
Its electronics suite simulated electromagnetic fields, with products such as Ansys High Frequency Structure Simulator for RF and microwave design and Ansys RedHawk-SC for electronic design automation. Other tools included the SCADE suite for embedded software, Ansys Fluent for fluid dynamics, Ansys Optics, Ansys Lumerical for photonics, and mission simulation software.
For materials, it offered Ansys Granta MI, Granta Selector, Granta Materials Data for Simulation and the CES EduPack teaching resources, plus design exploration tools and academic suites. Customers were in high-tech, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, industrial equipment, chemicals, consumer products, healthcare and construction, across the U.S., Asia, Europe and other regions.
