GraniteShares YieldBOOST Ether ETF (XEY)

The GraniteShares YieldBOOST Ether ETF is an exchange-traded fund from GraniteShares that trades on NASDAQ under the ticker XEY. Its main objective is to generate high current income, distributed regularly, through a strategy tied to ether, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network.

Under the YieldBOOST approach, the fund sells put options on a leveraged ether exchange-traded fund and collects the premiums, while holding most of its assets in short-term U.S. Treasury securities as collateral. It does not hold ether directly.

Because it relies on writing puts, the fund's potential gains are limited to the premiums it receives, while it remains exposed to declines in the underlying leveraged ether fund. The strategy is actively managed rather than index-based.
