NEOS Bitcoin High Income ETF (BTCI)

The NEOS Bitcoin High Income ETF (BTCI) is an actively managed fund that seeks to provide high monthly income along with exposure to the price of bitcoin. It obtains bitcoin exposure through bitcoin exchange-traded products and options rather than by holding the cryptocurrency directly.

To generate income, the fund sells call options on bitcoin-linked instruments, collecting option premium that it distributes to shareholders monthly. The managers may adjust strike levels and use call spreads so that the fund retains some participation in bitcoin price gains.

BTCI is sponsored by NEOS Investments, a firm known for options-based income ETFs across equities, Treasuries and digital assets. It launched in 2024 and trades on the Cboe BZX exchange.
