Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF Shares (ETHE)

The Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF (ETHE) is a spot ether exchange-traded product sponsored by Grayscale. Its holdings consist of ether, the native token of the Ethereum blockchain, and it is designed to track the price of ether as measured by a CoinDesk ether price benchmark, less expenses.

The product began as the Grayscale Ethereum Trust, a privately offered vehicle launched in 2017 whose shares later traded over the counter. It was converted into an exchange-listed product in 2024 when U.S. regulators approved spot ether ETPs, and it now trades on NYSE Arca.

The fund has since added staking, committing part of its ether to help secure the Ethereum proof-of-stake network and distributing the resulting staking rewards to shareholders. Ether is held with a third-party custodian, so investors gain exposure to the asset through a conventional brokerage account.
