This closed-end fixed income fund, which operated as abrdn National Municipal Income Fund, was launched and managed by abrdn Inc. and invested in U.S. bond markets. It mainly held investment grade municipal bonds whose income was free of federal income tax.
Holdings included airport, hospital and public power revenue bonds, escrowed-to-maturity and pre-refunded bonds, school district general obligation bonds and short-term investments. It measured itself against the Barclays Municipal Bond Index and the Lipper CE General & Insured Municipal Debt Funds (Leveraged) Average. The fund was formed on February 26, 1993 and was domiciled in the U.S.
