Abrdn Global Income Fund Inc was a closed-end bond fund launched and managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments (Asia) Limited, with Aberdeen Standard Investments Australia Limited and Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited as co-managers. It invested in fixed income worldwide, mainly debt in Commonwealth currencies and global debt securities.
Its benchmark was a blend of Bank of America Merrill Lynch indexes: 20% Australian Government Bonds, 20% UK Government Bonds, 15% Canadian Government Bonds, 15% New Zealand Government Bonds and 30% Global Emerging Markets. The fund was formed on June 28, 1991 and was domiciled in the U.S.
