The Retirement & Protection Solutions segment focuses on providing variable annuity products to individual clients and life and disability income insurance products to retail clients. Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ameriprise Financial has a long history of evolving and adapting to meet the financial needs of its clients. Originally known as American Express Financial Corporation, the company rebranded to Ameriprise Financial, Inc. in September 2005, continuing its legacy of delivering trusted financial solutions and advice.
