About Sunrise Communications AG
Sunrise Communications AG provided telecom services to homes and businesses in Switzerland through three segments: Residential Customers, Business Customers and Wholesale, and Infrastructure and Support Functions. Its offering included prepaid and postpaid mobile plans, roaming, broadband, TV, fixed-line phone service and device-as-a-service, plus sales of phones, tablets and accessories.
It ran the MySports pay TV platform, which showed Swiss National League ice hockey, and The TV Shop for over-the-top content. Other services included Identity Protect, Device Protect, Sunrise Pay for charging purchases to the phone bill, IPTV, mobile private networks, IoT, cybersecurity and cloud services.
It sold under the Sunrise, yallo, Lebara, swype and UPC brands through stores, call centres, apps, its website and partners, and also served virtual network operators and resellers. Founded in 1996, it was based in Opfikon, Switzerland.
