About KORE Group Holdings, Inc.
KORE Group Holdings, Inc. is a provider of Internet of Things, or IoT, connectivity, solutions and analytics, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. Its origins date to 2002, and over time it built a business providing cellular connectivity and managed services for machine-to-machine and IoT deployments. Customers included companies in healthcare, fleet and vehicle management, asset management, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
The company's offerings fell into connectivity-as-a-service, which gave customers connections for their devices across carrier networks, and IoT solutions that included location-based services, device management, managed services and professional services. Its analytics tools were used for fleet tracking, asset monitoring and industrial applications, helping customers to deploy and maintain connected devices. KORE became a public company in September 2021 through a business combination with Cerberus Telecom Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company. Its common stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol KORE, and its warrants traded under KORGW. Searchlight Capital and ABRY Partners were already significant shareholders from earlier investments in the business.
The company grew in part through acquisitions, among them the purchase of Twilio's IoT connectivity business in 2022, which added customers and connectivity capabilities. Ron Totton served as president and chief executive officer in its later years as a public company.
On February 27, 2026, KORE announced an agreement under which affiliates of Searchlight Capital Partners and ABRY Partners would acquire the shares they did not already own for $9.25 per share in cash. The transaction valued the company at about $726 million. The two investors said private ownership would allow KORE to speed up innovation and investment in global IoT deployments.
For public shareholders, the transaction provided an all-cash exit at a fixed price, in contrast with the share price volatility that smaller technology and connectivity companies often experience. Since Searchlight and ABRY already held shares, the cash price applied to the shares that were not already owned by them, and the purchase was approved through the usual merger process.
After the transaction, KORE's reporting obligations under U.S. securities laws were expected to end, and the company would no longer issue public quarterly results. The company said it intended to use private ownership to invest in product development and global expansion of its IoT business.
The acquisition was completed in July 2026. KORE common stock stopped trading on the NYSE, a Form 25 was filed with the SEC on July 21, 2026, and the listed warrants were also removed. KORE continues to operate as a private company under its existing leadership, with no successor ticker.
