About OptiNose
OptiNose was a specialty drug company serving patients treated by ear, nose, throat and allergy specialists. Its main product, XHANCE, used the company's exhalation delivery system (EDS) to deliver a topical corticosteroid for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. XHANCE was also in a Phase III trial for chronic sinusitis. The company also had Onzetra Xsail, a powder EDS device.
OptiNose was founded in 2000 and based in Yardley, Pennsylvania. As of May 21, 2025, it became a subsidiary of Paratek Pharmaceuticals. Its shares were delisted from the Nasdaq in May 2025, with the final trade on May 19, 2025 at $9.71.
