About ModivCare Inc
ModivCare Inc. was a technology-enabled healthcare services company providing supportive care for public and private payors and their members in the United States. It reported four segments: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, Personal Care Services, Monitoring, and Corporate and Other.
The transportation segment handled risk underwriting, contact centers, network credentialing, claims and ride management for Medicaid and Medicare members. Personal Care Services sent aides and nurses into homes to help mainly Medicaid patients, including seniors and disabled adults, with bathing, grooming, dressing, meals, housekeeping, medication reminders and mobility.
Monitoring offered personal emergency response systems, vital-sign devices and patient engagement tools, while Corporate and Other ran a network of community clinicians. Customers included government agencies, managed care plans, insurers, health systems and individuals.
Formerly The Providence Service Corporation, it took the ModivCare name in January 2021. Incorporated in 1996 and based in Denver, it filed for Chapter 11 in the Southern District of Texas on August 20, 2025. Its stock was delisted from the Nasdaq in September 2025, with the last trade on September 4, 2025 at $0.34.
