About MeridianLink, Inc.

MeridianLink, Inc. is a provider of cloud-based software for financial institutions, headquartered in Costa Mesa, California. The company was founded in 1998 and sells to banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders, specialty lenders and consumer reporting agencies, primarily in the United States.

Its platform includes software for consumer lending and account opening, a loan origination system for finance companies, mortgage loan origination software, collections software, data and reporting tools, and credit reporting solutions. The company sold its products as software-as-a-service subscriptions and generated recurring revenue from financial institutions that used the software to originate loans and open deposit accounts.

MeridianLink was controlled for years by the private equity firm Thoma Bravo. It completed its initial public offering in July 2021 and listed its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol MLNK. Thoma Bravo remained a major shareholder after the offering.

The company grew in part through acquisitions of complementary software businesses, expanding into mortgage origination, data and fraud tools, and credit reporting. Its customers were concentrated in credit unions and community banks, which put it in competition with other financial technology providers serving those institutions.

In August 2025, MeridianLink agreed to be acquired by Centerbridge Partners in a take-private transaction. The agreement provided for $23.00 per share in cash, valuing the company at approximately $2 billion on an enterprise basis. Thoma Bravo agreed to support the transaction as a major holder, and the board recommended the deal to shareholders.

The transaction closed on October 22, 2025, after approval by stockholders and receipt of the required regulatory clearances. Upon closing, each outstanding share was converted into the right to receive $23.00 in cash, and MeridianLink became a privately held company. The NYSE filed a Form 25 with the SEC to remove the shares from listing and registration, with the filing recorded on October 24, 2025.
