About Genfit SA Sponsored ADR
Genfit S.A. was a late-stage biopharmaceutical company finding and developing drugs and diagnostics for metabolic and liver diseases. Its candidate Elafibranor was in a Phase III trial for primary biliary cholangitis.
Other programs included NIS4 technology for diagnosing NASH and fibrosis; VS-01 for urea cycle disorder (UCD) and organic acidemia disorder (OAD); GNS561, in a Phase 1b/2a trial for cholangiocarcinoma (CCA); VS-01-ACLF and Nitazoxanide (NTZ), in Phase 1 for acute-on-chronic liver failure; and preclinical VS-02-HE for lowering and stabilizing blood ammonia. The list also included CML-022 and SRT-015, an ASK1 inhibitor aimed at cell death, inflammation and fibrosis.
It licensed NASHnext, a blood-based molecular test, to Labcorp for sale, and worked with Genoscience Pharma to develop and sell GNS561 for CCA. Incorporated in 1999 and based in Loos, France, the company's sponsored ADR was delisted from the Nasdaq in March 2026, last trading on March 9, 2026 at $8.95.
