Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET)

The Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET) is a spot ether exchange-traded product sponsored by Franklin Templeton. It holds ether, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network, and seeks to reflect the price of ether, less the fund's expenses.

The fund values its ether using a benchmark reference rate based on prices from major crypto trading venues, and its holdings are kept with an institutional custodian, largely in cold storage. It is passively managed and does not use leverage or derivatives.

EZET began trading in 2024 alongside the first group of U.S. spot ether funds. It gives investors exposure to ether through a conventional brokerage account without the need to buy and safeguard the cryptocurrency directly.
