About Consol Energy Inc
CONSOL Energy Inc. and its subsidiaries mined and sold bituminous coal in the U.S. and overseas. It had two segments: the Pennsylvania Mining Complex (PAMC) and the CONSOL Marine Terminal.
PAMC mined, prepared and sold coal to power plants and to industrial and metallurgical users. It included the Bailey, Enlow Fork and Harvey mines and a central preparation plant. The Marine Terminal handled coal exports through the Port of Baltimore.
The company also developed the Itmann Mining Complex in Wyoming County, West Virginia, and held the Greenfield Reserves and Resources in the Northern Appalachian, Central Appalachian and Illinois basins. Founded in 1864, it was based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
