About Air Transport Services Group Inc
Air Transport Services Group, with its subsidiaries, leased aircraft and provided air cargo transport and related services in the U.S. and abroad. It reported two segments: Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) and ACMI Services.
It supplied aircraft, crews, insurance and fuel, and offered maintenance and modification work such as heavy checks, component repair, engineering and line maintenance. Other services included cargo load transfer and sorting, crew training, ground handling, and installing and servicing material handling equipment. It also ran cargo and passenger flights, sold fuel at the Wilmington, Ohio air park, traded aircraft parts, and converted passenger planes to freighters or combis.
Customers included delivery companies, freight forwarders, airlines, e-commerce and logistics firms, and government agencies. Formerly ABX Holdings, it took its current name in May 2008. It was incorporated in 1980 and based in Wilmington, Ohio.
Stonepeak took ATSG private in April 2025, paying $22.50 in cash per share. The final trade was on April 9, 2025 at $22.49.
