About Aptose Biosciences Inc
Aptose Biosciences was a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing personalized cancer therapies, mainly in the U.S. Its tuspetinib (HM43239) was a once-daily oral kinase inhibitor that had finished a Phase 1/2 trial in myeloid cancers such as acute myeloid leukemia and higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes.
Luxeptinib (CG-806), an oral small molecule, was in a Phase 1a/b trial in relapsed or refractory B-cell cancers, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia, small lymphocytic lymphoma and some non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, and in relapsed or refractory AML. It held licenses with CrystalGenomics for luxeptinib, and with the National Cancer Institute and Hanmi Pharmaceutical for tuspetinib.
Formerly Lorus Therapeutics, it became Aptose Biosciences in August 2014. It was incorporated in 1986 and based in Toronto, Canada. Its stock was delisted from the Nasdaq in April 2025, with the final trade on April 2, 2025 at $2.01.
