About Tremor International Ltd.
Tremor International was an Israeli advertising technology company. It ran a combined platform with a demand-side platform for advertisers, a supply-side platform for publishers, and a data management layer, with a focus on video and connected TV ads. It made money by helping advertisers buy and publishers sell digital ad space programmatically. The company had its headquarters in Tel Aviv and large operations in New York and London.
The company started in 2007 as Taptica, a mobile performance-marketing firm, and listed on London's AIM market in 2014. In 2017 it bought the advertiser-facing business of Tremor Video. Tremor Video was a New York video-ad firm that had traded on the NYSE under TRMR from 2013 until it renamed itself Telaria in 2017, and Telaria later merged into Magnite. Taptica adopted the Tremor International name in 2019 and bought Unruly from News Corp in 2020.
In June 2021 Tremor International listed American depositary shares on Nasdaq under TRMR while keeping its AIM listing. In 2022 it acquired the ad platform Amobee from Singtel, which roughly doubled its scale in connected TV and data. The deal folded several brands into one platform and set up a rebrand.
On January 9, 2024, the company changed its name to Nexxen International Ltd., and from January 10, 2024, its Nasdaq ADSs and AIM shares traded under NEXN. Nexxen later moved all its trading to Nasdaq and left AIM. Former TRMR holders still own the same company under the NEXN symbol.
