About ReShape Lifesciences Inc
ReShape Lifesciences Inc. offered products to manage and treat obesity and metabolic disease in the United States, Australia, Europe and elsewhere. Its Lap-Band System offered an alternative to surgical stapling procedures such as gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, and the Lap-Band 2.0 System could be adjusted after surgery for comfort and effectiveness.
It also sold ReShape Calibration Tubes and was developing the ReShape Obalon Balloon System, a swallowable capsule with location tracking, and the Diabetes Bloc-Stim Neuromodulation (DBSN) device for type 2 diabetes.
Founded in 2002 and based in Irvine, California, the company was acquired by Vyome Therapeutics Inc. in a reverse merger as of August 14, 2025. Its stock was delisted from the Nasdaq that month, with a final trade on August 14, 2025 at $3.92.
