About Liberty Media Corporation Series B Common Stock

LMCB was the ticker of the Series B common stock of Liberty Media Corporation, the Englewood, Colorado, holding company controlled by John Malone. Liberty's Series B shares carry ten votes per share, compared with one vote for Series A and none for Series C, and have always traded much more thinly than the other classes. Through the early 2010s Liberty Media's holdings included Sirius XM, the Atlanta Braves and stakes in Live Nation and other media companies.

On April 15, 2016, Liberty Media completed a recapitalization that replaced its single class structure with three tracking stocks: Liberty SiriusXM, Liberty Braves and Liberty Media. Each existing share was exchanged for one Liberty SiriusXM share, 0.1 Liberty Braves share and 0.25 Liberty Media share of the same series. After this change the Series B Liberty Media tracking stock kept the LMCB ticker but moved to over-the-counter quotation.

In January 2017 Liberty Media completed its acquisition of Formula One, and the Liberty Media Group tracking stock was renamed the Formula One Group. Its tickers changed to FWONA, FWONB and FWONK, retiring LMCB.

Liberty Media continues to trade on Nasdaq through its Formula One tracking stocks. It has since reorganized several more times, including the 2023 split-off of Atlanta Braves Holdings and the creation of Liberty Live, and in 2025 it acquired Dorna Sports, owner of MotoGP.
