About Know Labs, Inc.
Know Labs, Inc. was a Seattle company developing non-invasive medical diagnostics, chiefly a device meant to measure blood glucose without a finger prick. Its Bio-RFID technology used radio frequency signals to analyze substances in the body, and the company spent years on research and clinical testing aimed at a consumer glucose monitor that had not reached the market.
The company was previously known as Visualant and later adopted the Know Labs name when it shifted toward spectroscopy-based sensing. Its shares traded over the counter as KNWN before moving up to NYSE American under the ticker KNW. Like many early-stage device developers, it relied on outside funding and posted ongoing losses. The company had large accumulated losses and a history of share dilution.
In June 2025 Know Labs agreed to sell a controlling stake to Goldeneye 1995 LLC, an affiliate of fintech investor and former Ripple executive Greg Kidd, who would become chairman and chief executive. The consideration included 1,000 bitcoin, and the company said it would hold bitcoin as its main treasury asset. The transaction, valued at about $125 million, closed on August 6, 2025.
The company then renamed itself USBC, Inc., and its stock began trading on NYSE American under the symbol USBC at the market open on August 15, 2025. The CUSIP number did not change and shareholders did not need to take action, so the KNW history continues under USBC. USBC remains listed on NYSE American.
