FAST Acquisition Corp. II (FZT)

FAST Acquisition Corp. II was a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by the team behind FAST Acquisition Corp., led by restaurant and hospitality investor Doug Jacob. Like other SPACs, it raised money in an IPO and held it in trust while searching for a private company to take public. Its focus was the consumer, hospitality and entertainment space. Its shares traded on the NYSE under the symbol FZT.

The SPAC completed its IPO in 2021, during the peak of SPAC issuance. In July 2022 it agreed to combine with Falcon's Beyond, an Orlando-based company that designs theme park attractions and develops entertainment intellectual property. The deal was revised during 2023 as market conditions for SPAC mergers became more difficult.

The business combination closed in early October 2023. The combined company, Falcon's Beyond Global, Inc., listed its Class A common stock on NASDAQ under the ticker FBYD, with warrants under FBYDW. Trading under the new symbol began on October 6, 2023, and the FZT shares ceased to exist.

Falcon's Beyond operates in themed entertainment, including attraction design, resort and destination development, and branded content. Former FZT shareholders who did not redeem became holders of FBYD. The company continues to trade on NASDAQ.
