Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW)

The Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW) is a spot ether exchange-traded product managed by Bitwise Asset Management. Its sole holding is ether, the cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network, and it aims to track the price of ether, less expenses.

The fund determines the value of its ether using a reference rate drawn from multiple crypto trading platforms, and it keeps its ether with an institutional custodian, primarily in offline cold storage. It does not use leverage or derivatives.

ETHW launched in 2024 as part of the first wave of U.S.-listed spot ether funds. Bitwise, a San Francisco-based crypto asset manager, also offers index funds and other digital asset products, and ETHW gives investors direct ether exposure through a standard brokerage account.
