VanEck Ethereum ETF (ETHV)

The VanEck Ethereum ETF (ETHV) is a spot ether exchange-traded product sponsored by VanEck. It holds ether, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain, and seeks to reflect the performance of the price of ether, less the fund's expenses.

The fund values its holdings using a benchmark ether price compiled from major trading venues, and its ether is held in cold storage by a regulated third-party custodian. It is a passive product: it does not attempt to time the market, and it simply holds ether in line with shares outstanding.

ETHV began trading in 2024 among the first group of U.S. spot ether ETPs approved by the SEC. It gives investors a way to own ether exposure in an ordinary brokerage or retirement account without managing private keys or crypto exchange accounts.
