Akoya Biosciences, Inc. was a life sciences technology company offering spatial biology tools for discovery, clinical research and diagnostics in North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Its PhenoCycler was a bench-top fluidics system that works with a microscope to automate imaging.
The PhenoImager platform let researchers view, measure and classify cells in place within frozen or paraffin-embedded tissue and tissue microarrays, using an automated high-throughput workflow. The company also sold reagents for both systems and biopharma services.
Its software included inForm Tissue for image analysis of biomarkers, Phenoptr for combining and analyzing inForm output, and phenoptrReports for building shareable reports, along with a network of analysis software partners. Incorporated in 2015 and based in Marlborough, Massachusetts, it was delisted from the Nasdaq in July 2025, with the last trade on July 7, 2025 at $1.29.
