The Zcash ETF Shares is an exchange-traded product that holds Zcash (ZEC), the privacy-focused cryptocurrency, and is designed to reflect the value of the ZEC it holds, less the fund's expenses. The vehicle evolved from a Zcash investment trust whose shares previously traded over the counter under the same ZCSH ticker.

Zcash is a proof-of-work blockchain derived from Bitcoin's codebase that adds optional shielded transactions using zero-knowledge proofs, allowing senders, recipients and amounts to be kept private. The fund lets investors gain exposure to ZEC's price through a brokerage account without managing wallets or private keys. It trades on NYSE Arca.
