About XOEF
The iShares S&P 500 ex S&P 100 ETF (XOEF) is an exchange-traded fund from BlackRock's iShares family. It is designed to track an index made up of the companies in the S&P 500 that are not also members of the S&P 100, the subset of the largest and most established U.S. blue-chip companies.
By excluding the mega-cap names that dominate the headline index, the fund provides passive exposure to the remaining roughly four hundred large-cap U.S. stocks across all major sectors. This gives a large-cap U.S. equity portfolio with less concentration in the very biggest companies than a standard S&P 500 fund.
The fund follows a passive, index-based approach and is rebalanced in line with the methodology of its underlying S&P Dow Jones index.
