The State Street SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF is a passively managed exchange-traded fund from State Street Global Advisors that tracks the S&P 500 Index. The index represents roughly 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States across all major sectors, weighted by float-adjusted market capitalization.

As part of the low-cost SPDR Portfolio lineup, the fund is designed as a core building block for broad U.S. large-cap equity exposure. It holds the index constituents directly and rebalances alongside the benchmark. The fund previously traded under the ticker SPLG before adopting SPYM, and it is listed on NYSE Arca.
