The State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Premium Income ETF is an exchange-traded fund from State Street Investment Management that trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker XLRI.

The fund provides exposure to real estate companies in the S&P 500, the universe of the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund, made up largely of real estate investment trusts owning properties such as data centers, cell towers, warehouses, apartments, health care facilities and retail centers. It pairs this exposure with an options strategy, typically writing call options, to generate premium income.

The option overlay aims to enhance income, but it can limit the fund's participation in strong rallies in real estate stocks.
