The State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR Premium Income ETF is an exchange-traded fund from State Street Investment Management, listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker XLFI.

The fund provides exposure to financial companies in the S&P 500, the universe also represented by the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund, including banks, insurers, capital markets firms, payment networks and diversified financial services businesses. It combines this exposure with an options strategy, typically the sale of call options, aimed at generating premium income.

The option overlay is intended to deliver regular income for shareholders but can reduce the fund's upside when financial stocks rally strongly.
