Vanguard Developed Markets ex-US Growth Index ETF (VDG)

Vanguard Developed Markets ex-US Growth Index ETF (VDG) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track an index of growth-oriented stocks in developed countries outside the United States. Its holdings are drawn from markets such as Europe, Japan, Canada and Australia.

Growth stocks are selected by the benchmark using characteristics such as historical and expected earnings and sales growth. The fund follows a passive indexing approach, holding companies across sectors in proportion to their weight in the index rather than choosing individual stocks.

The fund is managed by The Vanguard Group and has a companion fund focused on value stocks in the same markets, the Vanguard Developed Markets ex-US Value Index ETF.
