About TruBridge, Inc.

TruBridge, Inc. provided software and services to community hospitals and other healthcare providers in the United States. It was founded in 1979 as Computer Programs and Systems, Inc., known as CPSI, and was headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. The company changed its name to TruBridge in March 2024 to reflect the growing role of its revenue cycle and related services.

CPSI was a long-time vendor of electronic health record systems for small and rural hospitals. It expanded through acquisitions, including Healthland in 2016, which broadened its client base, and Healthcare Resource Group in 2019, which added revenue cycle management capabilities. The TruBridge brand was applied to the company's revenue cycle management, business management and consulting services, while its electronic health record software was sold as a separate offering.

In its later years the company reported results in three areas: Revenue Cycle Management, Electronic Health Record, and Patient Engagement. The revenue cycle business covered patient liability estimates, eligibility verification, claims submission, denial management, accounts receivable management and medical coding, and it could be used by hospitals regardless of which EHR vendor they had selected. Patient engagement tools and managed IT services supplemented the core offerings.

The shares traded on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, first under the symbol CPSI and then under TBRG after the name change. The stock had been part of a general interest among investors in healthcare technology and outsourced revenue cycle services, a segment where software vendors, large health systems and offshore outsourcing groups compete.

On April 23, 2026, TruBridge announced that it had agreed to be acquired by Inventurus Knowledge Solutions, Inc., known as IKS Health, a healthcare services and technology company. The company filed a preliminary proxy statement and later a definitive proxy statement in connection with the shareholder vote.

Under the merger agreement, each share of TruBridge common stock was converted into the right to receive $26.25 in cash, without interest. IKS Next Horizon, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of IKS, merged with and into TruBridge, which survived as a wholly owned subsidiary of IKS.

The merger closed on July 9, 2026. TruBridge stock stopped trading before the market opened that day, and the company asked Nasdaq to withdraw the listing and to file a Form 25 with the SEC. It also stated that it intended to file a Form 15 to terminate its registration under the Exchange Act and suspend its reporting obligations once the Form 25 became effective.
