Thornburg Income Builder Opportunities Trust (TBLD)

Thornburg Income Builder Opportunities Trust is a closed-end fund managed by Thornburg Investment Management of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The fund launched in 2021 and its shares trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker TBLD.

The fund's primary objective is to provide a high and stable level of current income, with a secondary objective of additional total return. It invests flexibly across a global portfolio of income-producing equities and debt securities, including dividend-paying stocks, corporate bonds, securitized debt and other fixed income instruments.

Thornburg uses fundamental, bottom-up research to select holdings and may adjust the mix between equity and credit according to where it finds opportunities. The fund may also write options on portfolio holdings to generate additional income. The trust was structured with a limited term, under which it is expected to terminate or be converted after a set period unless its board decides otherwise.
