About Taitron Components Incorporated
Taitron Components Incorporated was a supplier of discrete semiconductors and other electronic components, headquartered in Valencia, California. The company was founded in 1989 and sold both brand-name components from third-party manufacturers and products that were designed to its specifications and made by partner factories on an original design manufacturer basis.
Its product range included discrete semiconductors, commodity integrated circuits, optoelectronic devices and passive components. Customers included electronic distributors, contract electronic manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers in the United States and abroad, including Asian markets such as South Korea, China and Taiwan. In addition to distribution, the company offered engineering support and turn-key solutions to help customers source components for their projects.
Taitron's common stock was listed on Nasdaq under the symbol TAIT. The company was small in scale, with quarterly net product revenue in the low single-digit millions of dollars. For the third quarter of 2025 it reported net product revenue of $529,000, down from $1,187,000 in the third quarter of 2024, and nine-month revenue of $2.78 million compared with $3.37 million a year earlier.
The company worked with affiliated and strategic partners in Asia, including Teamforce Co. Ltd., Grand Shine Management and Zowie Technology Corporation, to support its supply and product offerings.
On November 14, 2025, in its third-quarter earnings release, Taitron announced that its board had approved a plan to voluntarily delist its common stock from Nasdaq and deregister it under the Securities Exchange Act. The board concluded that the costs of maintaining the Nasdaq listing and remaining an SEC reporting company outweighed the benefits to the company and its stockholders, and it also cited the time and resources required of management. The deregistration was available because the company had fewer than 300 holders of record. The same announcement disclosed the resignation of the company's chief financial officer.
Taitron planned to file a Form 25 around November 24, 2025, with trading on Nasdaq expected to end on or about December 4, 2025. It planned to file a Form 15 around December 8, 2025 to suspend its periodic reporting obligations, with deregistration becoming effective after a further 90 days. The company stated that its shares might be quoted on the OTC Markets Group's Pink tier after the delisting if market makers chose to quote them, but it gave no assurance that trading would continue on any market.
