Sunoco LP (SUN)

Sunoco LP, based in Dallas, Texas, distributes and sells motor fuel across the United States through its subsidiaries. It has two segments: Fuel Distribution and Marketing, and All Other. The Fuel Distribution and Marketing segment buys fuel from independent refiners and oil companies and supplies it to independent dealer stations, distributors, partnership-run stations and commission agent sites around the country.

The All Other segment runs retail stores that sell fuel along with merchandise and food, plus services such as credit card processing, car washes and lottery. It also leases and subleases real estate and operates terminals in Hawaii.

The business traces its roots to 1886. Known as Susser Petroleum Partners LP, it took the Sunoco LP name in October 2014. As of December 31, 2021, it ran 78 retail stores in Hawaii and New Jersey. Its general partner is Sunoco GP LLC.
