YieldMax Target 12 Semiconductor Option Income ETF (SOXY) is an actively managed fund in YieldMax's Target 12 series. It holds a portfolio of stocks of semiconductor companies and sells call options on those positions with the aim of generating annual income of around 12%, paid out to shareholders regularly.

The equity portfolio provides exposure to chip designers, manufacturers and equipment makers, while the covered-call overlay converts part of their potential upside into option premium income. As a result, the fund's returns reflect both the performance of its semiconductor holdings and the trade-off inherent in writing calls.
