About Invesco Dynamic Networking ETF
The Invesco Dynamic Networking ETF was an equity exchange-traded fund that held U.S. companies in the networking and communications equipment industries. It tracked the Dynamic Networking Intellidex Index, a rules-based index that scored stocks on factors such as momentum, value and quality. Holdings included makers of routers, switches, optical components, network software and related semiconductors. The fund traded on NYSE Arca under the symbol PXQ.
The fund launched in 2005 as the PowerShares Dynamic Networking Portfolio, one of the early Intellidex sector funds from PowerShares. Invesco had bought PowerShares in 2006 and later retired the PowerShares brand, renaming its ETFs under the Invesco name in 2018. Through those changes the fund kept its networking focus and its PXQ ticker. It remained a relatively small, specialized sector fund.
In 2023 Invesco repositioned the fund around the theme of next-generation connectivity. Effective August 25, 2023 it adopted the STOXX World AC NexGen Connectivity Index, took the name Invesco Next Gen Connectivity ETF and began trading as KNCT. The new index covers a global set of companies involved in 5G, cloud and network infrastructure. The fund itself continued to operate, so the change was a rename rather than a closure.
