PAMT CORP, formerly P.A.M. Transportation Services, is a truckload carrier based in Tontitown, Arkansas. Through its operating subsidiaries it hauls general commodities across the United States and into Mexico and Canada, offering dedicated, regional and long-haul truckload service as well as brokerage and logistics. A large part of its business supports automotive and retail customers, including cross-border freight with Mexico.
The company was founded in 1980 and its shares have traded on Nasdaq for decades under the ticker PTSI. Its largest shareholder is Matthew T. Moroun, whose family also controls other transportation businesses. Like other truckload carriers, its earnings swing widely with freight rates, fuel prices and driver costs.
On November 7, 2024, after shareholder approval, the company completed its conversion from a Delaware corporation to a Nevada corporation and took the name PAMT CORP. Its ticker changed from PTSI to PAMT shortly afterward, in November 2024. The business, management and share count were not changed by the reincorporation.
