NMP Acquisition Corp. (NMP)

NMP Acquisition Corp. (NMP) is a special purpose acquisition company, also known as a blank-check company. It was formed to raise capital through an initial public offering and then use the proceeds held in its trust account to complete a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition or similar business combination with one or more operating businesses.

Like other SPACs, the company has no commercial operations of its own before completing a deal. Its Class A ordinary shares trade on the Nasdaq, and shareholders are generally given the opportunity to redeem their shares for a pro rata portion of the trust account when a business combination is put to a vote or if no deal is completed within the allowed time frame.
