About Maiden Holdings Ltd
Maiden Holdings, through its subsidiaries, provided property and casualty insurance and reinsurance to regional and specialty insurers in Europe, North America and other markets. It had two segments, Diversified Reinsurance and AmTrust Reinsurance.
The company wrote treaties on quota share and excess of loss terms. It also offered auto and credit life insurance through partner insurers, wrote retroactive risks to provide legacy services to small insurers, and gave fronting services to program managers, MGAs, reinsurers and brokers.
Maiden was founded in 2007 and based in Hamilton, Bermuda. On May 27, 2025, it was acquired by Kestrel Group, LLC in a reverse merger. Its stock was delisted from the Nasdaq in May 2025, with the final trade on May 28, 2025 at $33.00.
