About Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd.

Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. is a Singapore-incorporated solar panel manufacturer that was spun off from SunPower Corporation in August 2020. It took over SunPower's non-U.S. solar cell and panel manufacturing business, and the shares were distributed to SunPower shareholders and listed on Nasdaq under the symbol MAXN.

The company made and sold high-efficiency solar panels using interdigitated back contact and shingled cell technologies, selling to dealers, distributors, developers and residential and commercial customers worldwide. It marketed products under the Maxeon and SunPower brands outside the United States. TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology became its largest shareholder.

Maxeon reported recurring losses as the solar panel industry experienced significant price declines and oversupply. It also faced disputes over the SunPower brand after SunPower's own financial difficulties in 2024, and changes in its shareholder base and financing arrangements.

On April 24, 2026, Nasdaq staff issued a determination under Listing Rule 5110(b), and the company appealed on April 30, 2026. Trading in the ordinary shares was suspended on May 1, 2026 and the shares moved to the over-the-counter market. On May 26, 2026 staff cited additional bases under Listing Rules 5250(c)(1), 5605(c)(2) and 5605(d)(2).

A hearings panel held a hearing on June 4, 2026 and decided on June 24 to suspend the company from the exchange. The staff determination became final on August 10, 2026. A company filing in October 2026 describes it as being under judicial management in Singapore.

Nasdaq announced the delisting decision on September 17, 2026 and filed a Form 25 in early October. Removal from listing took effect on October 12, 2026. The delisting was not an acquisition or merger, and no consideration was paid to shareholders.
