Lithium Argentina AG (LAR)

Lithium Argentina AG is a lithium development and production company focused on brine resources in the Puna region of northwestern Argentina. Its principal asset is an interest in the Cauchari-Olaroz lithium brine operation in Jujuy Province, which it owns jointly with Ganfeng Lithium and which produces lithium carbonate for the battery and electric vehicle supply chain.

The company also holds interests in nearby brine projects, including Pozuelos and Pastos Grandes in Salta Province, which it is exploring and developing as a regional lithium hub together with Ganfeng. Lithium is extracted by pumping brine to evaporation ponds and processing the concentrated solution into battery-grade product.

Lithium Argentina was created from the separation of Lithium Americas' Argentine business in 2023 and is domiciled in Zug, Switzerland. Its common shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange.
